Iggy was born on June 7th, 1990 in Sydney, Australia to parents Tanya and Brendan.
She began rapping at the young age of 14 and was apart of a girl group with two other girls from her home town. She quit the group because the other girls didn’t take it seriously.
Ms. Azalea dropped out of high school and moved to the United States to pursue her solo career.
In the summer of 2010 she moved to Los Angeles from Atlanta Georgia after meeting someone at Interscope records. She was only with them for a short period.
She got her break when she met rapper T.I. to give her direction with her unreleased The New Classic album. By 2012 she signed a recording contract with his label Grand Hustle Records.
